XAimer Auto Aimer

Update: We now recommend YAimer as the best Yahoo Pool Aimer. YAimer is a new client for Yahoo Pool that beats all other aimers, including XAimer!

XAimer was created in response to Pool Station, promising to be a superior pool aimer. Judging by its popularity and it's high ranking in comparative reviews, XAimer looks to have acheived its goal, as perhaps the best and most advanced auto aimer available for Yahoo Pool.

XAimer aims slightly differently than Pool Station and is able to show when the ball will bounce off the edge or fall into a pocket. While this may seem more precise than Pool Station, sometimes the simpler Pool Station can be more reliable on some close shots.

XAimer auto-updates to adjust to changes on Yahoo (this happens at least once a month) and seems to be the most reliable and fastest in this regard. Typically, updates are even faster than Pool Station.

XAimer shares all of the features Pool Station offers.

Pool Station

One of the first pool aimers to be released, Pool Station has been a reliable program for a number of years. Pool Station introduced the "shot preview" window, combo-shot calculations, auto-updating engines, and graphical guide images. All of these features are standard in most aimers today.

Pool Station is provided by Station Software, a small development company that seems to have a handful of game utilities.

Some features included with Pool Station:
  • Auto Calibrating
  • Can draw up to 10 banks
  • Watches multiple games
  • Adapts to Yahoo changes
  • Auto-updated engines

Cheat Badger

Cheat Badger is a cheat utility for a few dozen different games, including a Pool Aimer for Yahoo Pool.

Perhaps because Cheat Badger's core competency is not Yahoo Pool, it is not as precise as XAimer or Pool Station.

Cheat Badger does offer a few graphical enhancements and nicer user interface than the other aimers, but its aiming is not the best. It works, but isn't great. It does not calculate pocket-banking and is rarely updated for precise changes in Yahoo. The aimer seems to compensate reasonably well to all of Yahoo's changes even without updates.
